It is impossible for different-sex couples to enter into that legal institution.<br /><br />Furthermore, there are differencies in common-law marriages too. The social security system has a common-law marriage assumption when two individuals of marriageable age live together and share the same address. That is not the same in the case of a same-sex couple. They live in separate households though they share the same apartment.<br /><br />Does this court decision mean that countries like Finland should open its same-sex institutions for different-sex couples?
